Privacy Policy

Star Delta Software Ltd ("we") is the data controller for landdata.uk. This explains what personal data we handle and why. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookieless usage analytics (Umami) and Google Analytics, to understand traffic. No advertising profiles are built by us.
• Report content: reports include open data about a postcode area, which can include the names of property owners drawn from the public HM Land Registry record. This is published public data; we present it for the postcode you request only.

Advertising & cookies

We show ads from Google AdSense on our area and browse pages to help fund the free service; we do not place ads on individual property report pages. Google and its ad-technology partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads.

If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, a consent banner (a Google-certified Consent Management Platform) asks whether you agree to personalised advertising before any such cookies are set. You can choose Consent, Do not consent or Manage options, and change your choice at any time via the banner. If you do not consent you will still see non-personalised ads. You can review and control ad personalisation at myadcenter.google.com, and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Our own Umami analytics is cookieless and does not track you across sites.

Why, and the legal basis

We use any email you send us to respond to your enquiries (legitimate interests), and aggregate analytics and advertising to run and fund the Site (legitimate interests, and your consent for personalised ads where required). We do not sell your personal data.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors needed to run the service: Google (advertising and analytics), our email provider, and our hosting. Each handles data under their own terms.

Retention

We keep any correspondence as long as needed, and analytics in aggregate. You can ask us to delete your personal data where we are not required to keep it.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, and can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
